I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

Born in Richmond, Va., Otis L. Stanley was introduced to the world of art by his father, the late Lawrence I. Stanley. There are several paintings held in private collections throughout the Richmond metro area that Lawrence Stanley painted. From basic drawing and painting lessons Otis continued to pursue his love and appreciation of art, which included teaching an art class at the historic Randolph Community Center in the West End section of Richmond. Otis currently creates work in his SLIMRIC Studio. The studio is named after his father's nick name and the nick name of his brother, the late Lawrence Eric "E". Hi Otis, this is my second visit to your site today. Sometime ago you had mentioned "Frederick Douglass' lecture in 1893 on the subject of Haiti." Frederick Douglass was born a slave in Maryland. he was sent as an ambassador representing the United States in Haiti, 1889-1891. Frederick Douglas delivered his lecture on Haiti in America, at the Haitian Pavilion Dedication Ceremonies at the Chicago World Fair, on January 2, 1893. This document is available at:--------------------------------------------http://thelouvertureproject.org/index.php?title=Frederick_Douglass_lecture_on_Haiti_(1893) It is a very good, informative historic read. I made copies and intend to examine it well. I thank you Otis for directing us to that noteworthy site. L/F
