About Tracy Wall
As an artist, I shed new light on everyday life inviting the viewer to see the familiar as if for the very first time. Using common, everyday subjects, I create paintings using interesting viewpoints with compelling value and color shapes. I love balancing a representational impression of my subjects with abstract compositions. I work primarily with oil paints incorporating loose brushstrokes where select lines and edges are blurred. With a painterly style, I prefer to choose only what needs to be said and let the viewer fill in the rest. The viewer becomes an active participant in what they choose to take away from the works. Appealing compositions are everywhere, and they make strong impressions from afar even before the subject...
