Completely by coincidence, my Father saw a store in Lerwick being transformed. The shopfitters found this photograph in the place - judging by the costumes of the women, it would have been in the 1930s. It originally had the date on a cardboard surround on it (sadly gone, like the rest of the people in the shot)., and asked for it to be dated.
Some years' ago, my Dad saw it - and dated it almost 'to the day'. The shopfitters were aghast at the accuracy but that what became my Father is the little boy in the picture was even more amazing!
