The full title of this is "I see the future, and it's a clear blue sky" (#2 in a series). (poor quality photo)

It began growing up in a small southern Ontario, Canadian city. My father was away, working in places with exotic names such as Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik, and the DEW line. He brought home the most amazing artwork that made the best 'show 'n tell' at school. Family stories intrigued me - my mother's grandmother would be called out in the middle of the night to mid-wife babies to the Native women who spoke no English. It's taken me my lifetime to realize that I've had the best of both worlds from a learning and culturally integrative perspective. I was raised in what I would consider a non-traditional (in some ways) family. My mother, in order to maintain sanity, practiced yoga and meditation in the 60's. I didn't know any different growing up...
