Description
O my soul sang the
song of joy to the
drum-beat of the cold
showering drops of rain.
Parched was my soul,
so longed my heart for that
rejuvenating tiny drop to
trickle down from the
mountain top.
I stood alone battered
by the blowing sweltering
twister, mortal destiny so close;
see not a sight of hope on earth.
Cried my soul, gazing upward,
“O dear Lord, steady my
dead beaten legs of hope, strengthen
my soul before I drop an’ die.”
Come O Jesus, come O Lord,
come to me your servant cry,
thirst for you, come and save
before the hungry vultures
feast over me thy loving child.
“Ho Feel!” There comes the
mountain breeze of rain,
Ho, hear the dropping
drum beats of water-drops…
And sang my soul the song of joy,
praising Him my Lord who hung
smiling from the wood of liberation,
as drop of blood and water came
seeping from His side.
O I am saved, for He quenched my thirst,
hung for me from the cross of LOVE.
