How cute....

Priceless photo! It certainly give the perspective of the size of these birds, compared to the apple. Love the glint in its eye as it contemplates the apple.

such a great image! love it! and so clever how you captured this moment in time .... f/v ..... patricia

Jean Noren replied:

Thank you so much Patricia.

Great focus and color, Jean. Poor bird - you shoulda cut the apple open for him so he could get a seed or two! :) Congrats on your First Place contest win. Please feel free to join the Contest Winners First Place on FineArtAmerica Group, if you haven't already, and upload this image to the group. Congrats on your win! I love your brilliant colors and would love to hear a little more about how this image came to be...your description implies it is one found image...Either way, I love it and your title is funny

Jean Noren replied:

Hi Chris, thanks for all you kind comments. I put a tarp over my deck, put various flowers and fruit out with worms in them and just waited. If you look through my bluebird photos you will see my husband feeding a bird and that should give you an idea of how friendly they are. On this photo, I just waited till all the worms were gone and he was leaning over looking for more.

Fantastic image. Congrats on your first place contest win. V/P

Jean Noren replied:

Thanks so much.

Congratulations on "I would rather see the doctor" winning FIRST Place in the Red and Blue Contest! Great job!

Jean Noren replied:

Thank you, Val.

I am in love with "My Tropical Kitchen" purse. I also am deeply dissatisfied however, that there is no mention of Jade Moon's name on the product. Her work is more than worthy of her name to be associated with her beautiful products. People constantly mention that my purse is beautiful as I display it on a counter at a point of sale. I have to tell them whose work it is. Everyone recognizes her name. Jade Moon deserves recognition for her talent as an artist; her name should be on the product. PX Pixels is meaningless to me. I wish it wasn't sewed in to the seam. I am so proud of my "My Tropical Kitchen" purse. I bought it for myself on my 80th birthday. I would be thrilled if Jade could autograph it for me. I am sorry I have no means to take or send a photo.

About Jean Noren

Jean Noren

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. My latest venture is putting my nature images on beautiful...
