Artist's Description
A huge tabular iceberg protrudes from the sea ice about the height of a 10 story building, Ross Sea, Antarctica. About 6 to 7 times more is below the ocean. The bright sun in the middle of the day creates a perfect blue and white seascape. Such tabular icebergs are new, that is less than 1 year old, having recently calved from the glaciers, or the ice tongues or the Ross Ice Shelf. The wave has been created by the wash from the ship.
