This fine painting of the Tree of Life or ”Yggdrasil” as it is known in the old Nordic mythology - we live in the nordic part of Europe, in Sweden. When you look at this painting, many thougts comes to your mind.

Artist's Description

Icecold January 2009. When summer comes thousands of salmon will return home from the ocean. They will have to pass the beautiful waterfall Aegissidufoss in river of Ytri Ranga, South Iceland. Maybe they will see a glimpse of the volcano Hekla up right when they jump up the waterfall. When they continue many of them will catch a strange insect and suddenly be thrown up from the river -and end as a smoked salmon on an anglers table in Japan or USA.
