Artist's Description
This is an image of an oil painting from my Florals series. It depicts sunlit yellow and orange Iceland poppies at the Chicago Botanic Garden, Illinois, in spring - summer. I have painted poppies in still life interior settings, but this is my first large, outdoor composition featuring these flowers grouped simply as they sprang up in a garden.
