Many thanks, Hanne. It was cold, icy... and exhilarating that day!.

Magnificent capture of this cold winter beauty, Ann! L/F

David, many thanks for featuring Icy Aftermath in the ABC Group. Much appreciated.

Thanks for your kind comment, Cheri. The term lake effect is used to describe the more frequent and heavier snows caused when weather fronts pass over large lakes and fall on adjacent land. What you see in this image is ice formed by the action of wind, waves, and freezing temperatures.

Ann, Is this what they call "Lake Effect" snow? I've heard of it, but never seen. My compliments for the ability to maintain a steady hand long enough to get this great shot! voted

Thanks, Anne. It was cold, indeed, and very slippery!

This is a real demonstration of the power of ice and cold. Brrrrrr!

love the composition on this Ann

Amazing how the icicles formed ... great images Ann! My best, Juergen

A wonderful image, Ann. The icicles along the railing makes me think of sharks teeth!
