Albert E. Brumley's 1927 inspiration for this hymn came while picking cotton on his father's farm in Rock Island, Oklahoma. A popular gospel song and a standard in the bluegrass world. Albert Brumley said, "When I wrote it, I had no idea that it would become so universally popular."
