Tormod Granheim on the summit of Cotopaxi, a 5.897 meter high volcano in Ecuador. It is considered by many being the highest active volcano in the world. As we were standing on the summit crater rim looking into the steaming crater, I looked up and saw the neighbouring volcano erupt. I must admit I was a bit tired after the 7 hours climb that night, but as I saw the erupting volcano my body went into adrenaline mode. I was jumping around, screaming, and taking photos. 2 minutes later the summit area was filled with clouds and steam and the fantastic view was over. But I did get my photo, with Tormod holding his skis above his head with an erupting volcano in the background. This is an unforgettable experience.
