Mother Nature replied:

Good morning, Ann:>) Thank you for stopping by to leave a comment - very much appreciated!

I rest my case for wildflowers, just look at the wonderful colors on this little beauty. v/f

Mother Nature replied:

No one seems to be looking at this sweet, little spider - just studying the pretty flower! It's amazing how many things I don't see until I process the pictures, then hurrah, a prize! Thanks so much for the V/F!

This is terrific Carol! F/V I tried over and over to get a good shot of this flower yesterday and then came home and deleted all of them! Maybe one day ....

Mother Nature replied:

LOL - It's taken me over a year to get anything worth saving! They must have some sort of force field they erect to stop photographers from getting good shots. Keep on taking those pictures - I'm waiting to see your prize:>)

Beautiful it’s going to be a gift

Excellent print quality. I expected to lose some detail with it being printed on cloth. To my surprise, you could even make out the model's beautiful blue eyes. I would/have ordered again

Artist's Description

Jewelweed is a wildflower widely thought to prevent or lessen the effects of poison ivy. My personal experience says it will help to lessen the degree of irritation if you crush the plant and rub it on the exposed parts pretty darn quickly after you've come in contact with the poison ivy. Not total hockum but not a miracle "cure" either. These are pretty flowers that love damp areas and thrive in shade. The flowers are bright against the dark green leaves, and the plants can be up to 5 feet high. They are a type of Impatiens. Blooming in our area is around August/September, and this photo was taken August 24, 2012, at Green Lane Reservoir, East Greenville, Pennsylvania, USA. There is a tiny spider on the lower left of the flower. More info can be had at: http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com/Plants.Folder/Jewelweed.html

About Mother Nature

I invite you to visit my blog - Nature's Wonders - which is all about the natural world in my neighborhood. http://mothernature2014.blogspot.com/ I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever...
