Many thanks to the folks from Winchester, Virginia, who purchased this image "Imposing Seneca Rocks....". It is a very special place to me in many ways and I hope that it is to you as well whether you visit there in person or through its display in your home or office. - Mike

Beautiful color contrasts and processing Michael!...f/v

Michael Mazaika replied:

Thank you, Donna. Not like the mountain west which is incredible to me the few times I've seen it, but in its own way just as moving. Thanks - Mike

Nice capture of the Rocks. If you noticed, my image you commented on was different: the Gendarme was in place. My image was made in October 1987 before the Gendarme fell. I like the contrast of color you've captured here.

Michael Mazaika replied:

Thanks, Thomas. In fact, I did notice that the image was pre-collapse of the Gendarme. Somewhere in my "old" slides I probably have one showing it still in place. It is a great place to visit and I've had several moving experiences there.

With gratitude - thank you to the purchaser from Lexington, KY of "Imposing Seneca Rocks....". It is a special place in many ways (one of the training sites for the 10th Mountain Division preparing for the assault on the Apennine Mountains in Italy during World War II). I hope you enjoy its display in your home or office and, perhaps, that you are able to visit there someday. - Mike

Congrats on your sale!

Michael Mazaika replied:

Michael - thank you for your support!
