My intention when I took this photograph was to capture the dimly lit building which is the entrance to a pier at Fort Lauderdale By The Sea. My naked eye could not see the sand nor the water, but I could hear the lapping of the waves. When I uploaded this image to my amazement I could see that a young woman had been sitting at the water's edge in almost total darkness with her arm raised and dropping sand from her hand. Although she may have felt alone, perhaps enjoying her solitude, perhaps not, she was seen through my lens. I do hope it was a happy time for her.
