Along a trail in the Jedediah Smith State Park, a fallen tree leads the eye past a twisted giant. ................Planned from the start, as a large print, this photo loses too much, when printed in small sizes, so I don't offer them. About Stephen Thompson
Stephen Thompson Born in Tacoma WA in 1951 Started serious photography at age 13 Commercial photography schooling at Clover Park Voc-Tech Further classes in art and photography at TCC and Evergreen State College Many awards from the Tacoma Photographic Society including best photo of 1970 Worked with all formats from 8x10 view camera on down to 35mm Managed camera stores and was partners in a commercial photo studio Burned out on the commercial aspects of photography about 1981 Took pictures to please myself from then until 2004, with much urging from friends to publish or make my images available. Started using Paint Shop Pro to process scanned images in 2001. Moved up to Photoshop in 2003. Decided to pursue in Fine Art...
