This painting represents a typical street scene in South India, with pedestrians, cars, fruits vendors, rickshaws, motorcycles, bicycles, the heat, the sun. India has a growing economy and is a very dynamic country.
The scene is serene despite the action. One of the reasons is because everyone is so patient. There are no road rages, insults exchanges from one driver to the next, or even pedestrians to drivers. It is the good nature and composure of this place and people that capture my attention. I am planning to go back there one day.
The style is contemporary impressionism, the technique is worked both with a brush and a palette knife.
This art piece is one of my best selling canvas prints. I have produced a series of India street scenes.
