Autumn's blazing oranges create a contrast against a vibrant blue sky. The air is cool and brisk, and yet in the sunlight there is warmth and light.

This is Indian Summer in the country. It is a transition time between summer and fall, that magical period when the intense heat of late summer is gone, and yet the chilling blasts of autumn have not yet arrived.

Color is everywhere: in the trees, late blooming flowers, rippling grasses. There are oranges, reds, golds, yellows, rusts, corals; indeed, it is a time when Nature pulls out her paint palette and joyously uses every color at her disposal.
