I love the painting, and fabric! I’ve always had Border Collies, so they are perfect for me! The insert stuffing is a little lumpy. But i am very satisfied.
Somehow, many people hate spiders. Or are afraid of them. Or at at least, they don't like 'em. And the same goes probaly for these sticky wire-creations they produce....
But have you ever really looked at a spider web? It's a piece of art, made with technical skills, we wouldn't even master if our lives depended on it.
The material is extremely light weight, (relatively) stronger than steel and even the brightest scientist are still puzzled about this ingenious fomula, they just can't seem to crack. And the spider makes it with it's own body and even recycles it!
But besides the technical aspects: have you really SEEN the beauty? This combination of perfectly balanced structure, combined with a nice amount of creative freedom? Did you ever notice how this spider silk is able to catch the sun light and translate it into countless beautiful colours...?
So...if you ever stumble upon (or worst; step on) a spider again, starting to think..'Eeeuw a bug....!'
Then realise that...
I'm a Dutch female self-employed photographer, former (web)dedesigner and Art Therapist, with a deep love for anything that breaths. My main goal is to express myself through photography and share the beauty as I see and experience it. I have a strong preference for 'happy animals', animals that are completely at ease. This is well reflected in my famous series of Zen Foxes. I hope you enjoy my version of our world! Kindly, Roeselien

I just read your description, and see now that it's a photo, not a painting. Congratulations on capturing the beauty of the web and finding the abstract patterns in it. I saw a city in it. That's art for you!
Roeselien Raimond replied:
Thanks for reading and for the very kind and heart-felt comment :D And to me it looks like a Mini Metroplole, too, hence the title :D

Sunning work, Roeselien! The way you captured light and reflections in such a simple, yet unique way, is quite appealing.
