I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Gorgeous photo on the bag. Loved that I could adjust the photo size to suit my preference. Wanted to use for going to the health food store as I need to replace the 15 year old canvas, washable bags I have now. These will not last as long as those canvas bags. I could even deal with slight fading when I needed to wash them. These do not feel washable. Cheap mesh "fabric" on the interior will tear. Disappointed in the fabric on the inside and outside.

I was hoping for a heavyweight cotton canvas bag to use for grocery shopping; this will not be it. I wanted a bag that would be washable. This has a cheap mesh fabric on the interior that will tear in short order. The exterior is some sort of nylon or other synthetic fabric that I do not feel comfortable washing. I guess I didn't realize what kind of fabric it was made of. It is beautiful but not useful for my needs.

I wanted some pretty tote canvas tote bags to replace the durable canvas bags I use for trips to the health food store. While certainly beautiful, this bag will not be useful for that purpose. The interior is made of that lightweight, cheap mesh fabric that tears with the slightest bit of stress on it. I was hoping for heavy canvas, but this is an odd fabric that will not hold up for what I wanted to use it for.

Perfect sunflower for a resting place on a tote

Artist's Description

I really enjoyed playing with this piece. I wanted a macro of a wave lapping onto the beach, showing the sand and current - movement and mood. $575 Unframed. 12x24x1.5. Sides painted and hangs beautifully with or without frame.

About Sharon Abbott-Furze

"I paint because I have to ... it's right up there with food and water for me - a prayer, a meditation, and always an adventure" The major influence in Sharon's work is nature. Hours spent photographing, plein air painting and just spending time studying her surroundings and people shows in her work. For the most part, nature has been her teacher but she takes occasional classes from her favorite artists. Sharons paintings are often started plein air and finished in her studio and from photo references. Her limited palette keeps her paintings cohesive and she uses her fingers almost as much as her favorite brushes and palette knives. Her collection of tools also includes Q-tips, brush ends, rags, paper towels, sponges,...
