Description
This small mural was found outside the main Iraqi Army/Air Force barracks on base in Basrah, Iraq during the 2011 Summer Expedition to Iraq & Kuwait. This marks a transition point of placing this base in the hands of the local national as well as a sort of pride they held for their new position as the guardians of the Iraqi airspace.
