Description
The Islenos museum located in St. Bernard Parish, just outside of New Orleans. The Islenos are descendants of colonists from the Canary Islands, who settled in Louisiana in 1778. This museum was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and rebuilt afterwards, along with an Islenos community which hosts the annual Islenos Fiesta, usually in March, in St. Bernard, right outside of New Orleans.

Thank you Kevin! I have participated in the Islenos Fiesta in March for the past few years. It's the one of the best!

Beautiful painting. My wife and I are going to purchase this for our new home in Virginia. Show all the Virginians my Louisiana and Islenos pride:) Great job. K. Plaisance
