This is what you could see when you begin your day at the Onongaga Waterfall in October. This was my first photo on a chilly autumn morning, with heavy clouds drifting overhead.

I had actually gotten up really early to try to see the lunar eclipse and rare "Blood Moon" on October 8th. Cloudy skies made my view of the eclipse a bit of a disappointment. So... I decided to head out to Ricketts Glen. I saw that a lot of rain had fallen during the night and dryer weather was heading our way. Water levels in the area had been quite low. I had been waiting for a good rain before making my annual autumn trek to the Glen. It looked like this might be the perfect opportunity to get some nice autumn waterfall photos.

This photo was captured from the steep hillside across from the falls, above the Glen Leigh hiking trail. Onondaga Falls is located at the top of the Glen Leigh gorge, near the junction with the Highland trail.

My higher education includes Theological Studies, Electronics Engineering, Audio Engineering and Visual Arts. I taught a Media course at Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn State Affiliate). Photography has been an integral part of my life since the mid 1960's. Capturing the beauty and complexity of nature is my main interest, from macro close-ups to wide vistas views ...and everything in between. Natural waterfalls are the most frequent photographic subjects found at the business end of my lens. Historic Covered Bridges and farmland scenes are also very close to my heart, but any visually interesting...
