Kym, everytime I come here to look at your new photos, you have a great capture of these little coons doing something cute! I get so captivated by them, I miss everything else! If you get tired of having them around, I'll send directions to my house, and you can make them some little hobo bags and send them on their way. F/V

Kym, Oh I just love this!!!... Wow I bet its so fun to watch these guys playing,. Excellent shot my friend!

Chrisann, Thanks so much! I love the little bandits.. But, I do let them be wild! I'm not like Ellie May of the BEVERLY HILLBILLIES, I don't pet them or bring them in the house! It's tempting, but they are wild...thanks for all your comments and botes and such!

How adorably delightful (though I imagine if they get into the trash they aren't so cute!) and what an amazing capture!! Just fabulous work and brings a welcome smile. F/V

Kym Backland replied:

Lianne, I know they are adorable, and TROUBLE too. I realize they have a downsize, and not everyone thinks they are cute! But they do bring a smile to my face...But, I know how it feels if they have torn your trash to bits! Thanks for your votes and favor, and your lovely comments too Lianne!

I COULDN'T POSSIBLY REVIEW EVERY CARD IN MY ORDER BUT I WILL SAY THAT I DISCOVERED YOUR ART GREETING CARDS SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN ORDERING THEM EVER SINCE. I LOVE MAILING THEM OUT AS THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFULLY PRINTED .I USUALLY ORDER THEM WITHOUT GREETINGS SO CAN USE THEM FOR ALL KINDS OF OCCASIONS. DEFINITELY 5 STARS!

Artist's Description

These three raccoons are quite the characters! They are constantly trying to one up the other. They always want to be the first one in line! What going on over there? I'm first in line! No, I am! I saw something right over here, did you see it? Nope, I didn't see it... Here is some of that annoying information you may or may not want to know about the Raccoon.. The size of a raccoon's home range as well as its nightly hunting area varies greatly depending on the habitat and food supply. Home range diameters of 1 mile are known to occur in urban areas. Mortality and Longevity.Raccoons die from encounters with vehicles, hunters, and trappers, and from disease, starvation, and predation. Young raccoons are the main victims of starvation, since they have very little fat reserves to draw from during food shortages in late winter and early spring. Raccoon predators include cougars, bobcats, coyotes, and domestic dogs. Large owls and eagles will prey on young raccoons. The average life span...

About Kym Backland

Capturing a moment in time, is one of the best emotions. I love seeing something thru the lens and holding it near you as long as you can. I like for that image to be caught by surprise. A pure emotion. That to me is usually the most interesting. Anyways.... Photography is my medium. I do enjoy photographing those "Funny Animals" I see along the way........Laughter gets you thru a lot of hard times...I appreciate you taking the time to see what I see..... As you might have noticed I have never written a biography about myself for over 2 years. I figured I had better write one now. I'm definitely not going to write my "BIO" in the third person, so that I sound more important than I really am. Should I warn you that I have "run on"...
