I have always painted horses. It has been almost an obsession. As a young man I stood for hours with a sketch pad and ear infections and drew horses. The soul's a horse. The horse's soul. Thighs The feminine. The sensuous. A picture of three horses. . Where are we now. Mother, father and I in the background. I was born of a horse, but I was not a horse. My sister was my horse. It was similar to an artistic sect. My uncle, the famous artist, was the boss of this Family group, and everyone else just circled around him all the time. He was Our love, Our sun and Our meaning of life. We all wanted him to see us and talk to us and love us. And we the kids all wanted to be great artists, just like him. But his sister, my mother, always warned me: Art wasn't considered proper work. So she absolutely didn't want me to be an artist if I could manage to be something else.
