The name of this painting is great, just as the work itself is! It seems that your Jacob is crawling over gems and with his open hide hes open to all possibilities. The soft colors just underline the spirituality hidden within. Cheers, Valerie

Thank you for the comment about in a dream. I love the colors you use in your artwork. I try at times to incorporate more colors in my work, for some people it comes naturally. You seem to possess that ability with your work. I'll be watching your gallery also. I like the colors & composition in Jacobs Jorney, it's very nice.

Hi Anne, finally I able to communicate, your colors are magical for me , I love your work, and thanks for your wonderful comments about mine

Thank you Christopher and other artists who commented.. I will follow my imagination, just the way I follow my nose.:~~) It gets me many places I am surprised to go.

Thank you all for your comments. This is an unusual subject, I agree.. I did this purely from my imagination. This is rich in texture & is already in a beautiful silver-toned frame. The frame does not show in this image on FAA. I enjoy your comments. They really inspire me.

Nice imagery and fascinating coincidences. I like the free flowing movement of the painting.

Ah, this speaks to me in wistful nostalgia.

Again, thank you Bruce. I am pleased that you appreciate the layers of meaning in this painting. Your neighbor, aew

Absolutely gorgeous colors! So peaceful, such harmony, and so wonderful that you would treat so beautifully one of God's creatures that probably a majority, of Americans at least, dislike or even despise. Thank you so much, Anne-Elizabeth!

Thank you all for the delightful comments about Jacob's Journey. I feel honored. Keep shinin', aew

Fantastic painting!! very creative!!

Hi Anne....this is so beautiful!!! and i love the description about hope....the Carambola was my favorite Sunday stop for a swim and me it it the nicest resort on St.Croix....if you remember ,the pool had a mural alongside was fading so i was asked to give it a new coat but i had to leave the island..a beautiful rainforest scene...have a nice day,Ted

Thank you all for the lovely comments. It makes me feel great. The imagination takes command & the painting almost paints itself. I always say: it comes THROUGH me, not FROM me...if you know what I mean.

Love the colour! And I can feel "hope" in this painting.

thank you for your kind comment on my "Bouquet". I like your work, especially the floral, but this one is my favorite. Is says so much! Sharon

Hi! Anne-Elizabeth! This is such a beautiful painting of a snail! I love the textures and the colors! Very creative!.....Natalie

Hi Anne, thank you for the nice comments on my Ozzz painting. I think YOU are very talented :)) Your feelings really come thru in your art work. I love this painting, I had never thought of a snail as being hopeful, but this one does look hopeful :)) The colors you chose are peaceful as well. Keep up the wonderful work. Laura

I got so many comment about this when I had it framed! I am working on living in New York for a few months and this is keeping me going until I get there! Sorry the photo is so bad - the light was on it.

Going to put it the front of a small cupboard door...

Good print. However I would have preferred it to be mailed flat. I want it to stay flat but it keeps rolling on me since it was in a tube. I put some heavy books to try to flatten it.

Hey, i was about to purchase the metal option, but the price with shipping would have been nearly $500 more...If you are willing to work on the cost there, I might upgrade. I also was considering getting embellishments, but guessing you don't do that on posters. Contact me if you are willing to work on the pricing. Otherwise I am stoked...this is my birthday present to myself.

Artist's Description

I painted this as a symbol of hope. The snail is looking to the moon with dreams that only a snail would know. (On the original the moon looks round). I named this Jacob's Journey because the name Jacob appealed fto me (from the Bible) The sense of a spiritual journey is in the picture. This is on a large canvas & has a lovely silver frame, ready to hang. If you would rather have the painting not framed, the price would be $150. less than the cost stated.
