Description
A Color Select version of Jericho Covered bridge 1865 - in Kingsville, Maryland with textures added. It's part of the historic Jerusalem Mill Village, a National Register Listed 18th and 19th century preserved community in Gunpowder Falls State Park. It's also a recipient of the Preserve America Steward Award. Image captured 1-14-19 after the first snowfall of the year.
It's the last covered bridge in Harford and Cecil Counties built over the Gunpowder Falls by Thomas F. Forsythe. The structure is a timber burr arch through truss design. The bridge has undergone periodic renovations in 1932, 1982 and in 2016 under a cooperative agreement between the two counties.
Two vertically formatted wide-angle images were digitally stitched together to produce this slightly wider view.
