Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

The towel didn’t arrived. I tried to call customer service, nobody answered. Wrote message, also no answer. Never again. Also, this is my second purchase, the first one in November also never arrived. Never never again. Like I threw $100

Artist's Description

This an original acrylic and collage painting by Mike Robles. The painting is based on a photograph of a scallop shell imbedded in beach sand. As water flows over the shell and recedes it leaves a pattern in the sand. This 8x11inch painting was done on an MDF panel using artist quality acrylic paints and the background sand was glued to the panel with acrylic matte medium and finished with waterproof acrylic satin varnish. As a result, it does not need to be framed under glass!

About Mike Robles

About the Artist, Mike Robles I am a senior artist and a native Californian. I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Carlmont High School, Belmont in 1958. My career as an analytical chemist for GE Nuclear Energy started in 1963 at the Hanford Engineering Works in Eastern Washington. In 1969, my family (wife and two sons) and I moved back to California and settled in Livermore. I continued working for GE for most of my 40 year career. I was exposed to art at a young age by my extremely gifted artist mother and step-father. But, I...
