Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

Artist's Description

Joe Cocker - Realistic acrylic painting of the late English singer and musician, painted by the Dutch fine artist Paul Meijering - The Original painting is 100 x 120 cm and in the possession of Mr. Joe Cocker himself... John Robert "Joe" Cocker, OBE (20 May 1944 - 22 December 2014) was an English singer and musician. He was known for his gritty voice, spasmodic body movement in performance, and definitive versions of popular songs. Cocker's cover of the Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends" reached number one in the UK in 1968. He performed the song live at Woodstock in 1969, and at the Party at the Palace concert for the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II in 2002. His version also became the theme song for the TV series The Wonder Years. His 1974 cover of "You Are So Beautiful", reached number five in the US. Cocker was the recipient of several awards, including a 1983 Grammy Award for his US number one "Up Where We Belong", a duet with Jennifer Warnes. In 1993 Cocker was nomin...

About Paul Meijering

For almost 33 years now, Paul Meijering has been active with the paint brushes. At that time (1980) the tendency of the abstract was running riot, and to his dismay and disappointment Paul found that the trade of the ancient masters was merely 'old hat', the realistic art being disregarded and looked down upon. After two years of useless botchery, there was only one conclusion to draw: "get autodidact, be a self-taught person!" Paul then left the academy to work for a living, but at the back of his mind there always loomed the passion of his life: to paint. At his spare time...
