We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

I love this metal print. The picture is crisp and colors are clear. We live in the Detroit area and my husband used to sell vegetables at Ester Market when he was in college.
Artist's Description
Painted Hills is located in the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, located in Wheeler County, Oregon. The unique colors that streak the clay rich hills and mounds were formed over 35 million years ago by different volcanic eruptions and changing climate patterns. Once this area was a river flood plain with a warm tropical climate and an abundance of plants forming lush forests with exotic animals such as prehistoric horses, elephants, camels and saber tooth tigers roaming freely. Over time the landscape transformed again and again responding to the powerful forces of nature. Layers of ash and different types of soil mixed with minerals and plant material and eroded causing the unique coloring of the Painted Hills landscape we see today. This was my first image for 2014, taken at first light New Years morning.
About Rick Dunnuck
I have had a camera for as long as I can recall, and have taken snapshots equally as long. It was not until March of 2013 that I became obsessed with landscape photography. I have never truly experienced a sunrise/sunset, or listened to the roar of a raging waterfall until my first outing in the Monongahela National Forrest (Canaan Valley) in West Virginia. Ever since then I have been captivated by the beauty of the outdoors and the power and artistry of Mother Nature. I hope you enjoy my images and just know there is an amazing trail of experiences behind each one. I reside in Woodbridge, VA and jump at every opportunity to travel with my camera and tripod.

A spectacular capture of Painted Hills, Rick. You have my admiration for what it took to capture the light in this remote location.
