I have discussed with Trevor his Chester cat as the stand in for my Augie, of whom I have no photographs. It gives me great comfort to have him with my other late cats who got me through life with their compassion. I love Trevor's work and will continue to collect it.

"This black and white portrait features John Wayne, nicknamed "Duke", an American actor and filmmaker. An Academy Award-winner for "True Grit", Wayne was among the top box office draws for three decades. He is pictured here with Lauren Bacall, an American actress known for her distinctive voice and sultry looks. She was named the 20th greatest female star of classic Hollywood cinema by the American Film Institute, and received an Academy Honorary Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2009, "in recognition of her central place in the Golden Age of motion pictures".
This image originates from the film "Blood Alley", a 1955 American seafaring Cold War adventure film drama from Warner Bros., shot in CinemaScope and Warnercolor. It was produced by John Wayne, directed by William A. Wellman, and stars Wayne and Lauren Bacall."
