Description

This lighthouse, called the Jupiter Inlet Light, was lit July 1860. It's at the juncture of the Jupiter Inlet and the Indian River in southeast Florida. Its unusual color red is to hide discoloration caused by the humidity in that area. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places. It's cool to sit at Jetty's restaurant across the inlet, have a great meal and drinks, with this view.
