Description
Europe's oldest covered wooden bridge was originally built in the 14th century. Kapellbrucke, or Chapel Bridge, crosses the Reuss River near the point it meets the shores of Lake Lucerne, draining the lake. Devastated by a fire in 1993, the bridge was re-built. At 170 meters long, it provides a charmingly romantic stroll for locals and tourists alike.
