Karma! by Alison Galvan is a Mixed Media & Acrylic Bas-Relief Painting on a 16x16 wood panel.
Inspired by: Many years ago I knew an older couple who were perpetually grumpy. Back in their day things were much less expensive, kids were a thousand times more polite, other cars always let them into their lane and I'm sure it only rained on farmers fields, and never on picnics.
They used to drive me crazy with their constant grousing.
Then on one lovely summer evening the most wonderful thing happened.
We were on our way to dinner at our favourite restaurant, I in my father's car and the Grumpy Grumpersons in my mother's with the sun roof open to enjoy the evening air. Well this restaurant happened to be a fair distance from our home and we had to take a bridge from one side of the inlet to the other. We in my father's car passed over without incidence, parked, and got out to walk into the restaurant. As we did, my mother pulled in, and from her car exploded a flurry of lace and ruffles in the form of a furious Madame Grumpy who was dripping from the top of her ridiculous hat to tip of her oh so practical shoes with bird poop!
Yes, passing over the bridge a flock of incontinent fowl had let fly directly over the sun roof and she had been coated!
Karmic Justice, you've just gotta love it!
