Description
This is the last beach on the Westside of Oahu at the end of Farrington Highway. You pass Makua Valley and Makua Cave just before arriving at this, the entrance to the bay. A very popular beach that is often plagued by high waves in the Winter months. There are times when the beach is closed down because of those massive waves. At the far end of the beach, where the road runs out, people park to hike out (five miles RT) to Kaena Point the home of a bird sanctuary for endangered Laysan albatross. All rights apply.
