The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Built in 1913 as a navigational aid for commercial shipping between Hawaii and the Orient, K�lauea Point Lighthouse stands as a monument to Hawaii's colorful past. For 62 years, it guided ships and boats safely along Kauai's rugged north shore with it's signature double-flash.
In 1927, the lighthouse played a key role in the first trans-Pacific flight from the West Coast to Honolulu by reorienting the two lost pilots of the Bird of Paradise. In 1976, the Coast Guard deactivated the lighthouse and replaced it with an automatic beacon. In 1979, the lighthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dedicated volunteers keep the lighthouse functional and on rare and special occasions, the K�lauea Point Lighthouse lights the sky above Kauai's north shore.
