King Parrot male perched on a tree branch. The male King Parrot stands out in the forest with his bright red head, breast and belly. His back is bright green and the long tail is a darker shade of green. In flight they reveal a beautiful blue patch on their back. They can be seen in dense rainforests and wet sclerophyll forests and prefer to hang out between the trees where they feed on fruits and seeds. This one is having a little snack! Taken in South East Queensland, Australia.
