Description
The Secret Garden (Huwon or Biwon) is one of Korea's most stunning attractions. Part of Seoul's ancient Changdeokgung Palace, it was originally forbidden to even the highest officials. No one was allowed entry without the King's permission. The garden and its structures were heavily damaged during the Japanese occupation (along with many other historic landmarks), but have since been restored and opened to the public. It is now one of the most beautiful places in all of Asia. In this photo, a small pavilion overlooks a peaceful pond, surrounded by stunning autumn foliage
