Package was pretty beat up upon arrival. I can send a separate photo if you’d like to see it? 5 star on the actual picture. 1 star on shipping.

Artist's Description
I remember the impact this monument has when I came up on it early one foggy morning. The mall was more or less deserted except for these soldiers, and it was really a moment to remember. I took this some years later, but I had that earlier image etched in my memory, and I used that thought for this photograph. Thanks to those who served and who built this monument.

F, V, Stumbled, Tweeted to over 1300 Followers... Like, and G+1'd Served 3 tours in the 5th Regimental Combat Team, to me photos of the Korean Memorial are best in Black and White. For years ran a website for the Assn, and always posted them in B&W. During the Korean War, there was very little color film used, and in the combat zones it seemed to "fit"... All the photos I took then, were in B&W, though didn't have much time for photography. :o( The 5th had more days in combat, than any other Unit in Korea 95%, and was nick-named "The Fire Brigade" by a Marine Colonel the only Marine ever to write a book about an Army Unit. We were in the Pusan Breakout and went all the way to the Yalu River, further north than the Marines and were the rear-guard all the way back to the 38th Parallel. Windchill reached -100 degrees near the Yalu... Really like this one, quite different with the light highlighting the figures in the background, it leads the eye deeper into the image. Noticed you are in VA, have been to the Memorial 4 times, it has helped me recover from PTSD, recalling memories near the Reflecting Pool... Some Gave All, we never forget them over 62 years later.
