On 1-1-2014 the Southern California Coast experienced a huge King Tide. The tide tables showed La Jolla beach in northern San Diego as being almost 1 meter below 0 tide. I thought it would make for some amazing pictures, the kind you see on post cards of La Jolla. Instead the tide was way, way lower than I expected and the sea weed, clams and other things that almost never see air were exposed. So I was able to capture some very unique and interesting HDR tide pool and long exposure HDR images.
