Bèlè is a traditional folk dance practiced in islands like Dominica, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, Trinidad and Tobago. The dance and dresses are derived from the French Creole culture in these countries and costumes usually include wide flared skirts and white lacey petticoats. ‘La Reine Rivé’ means the queen arrives in French patois.
