La Santa de Lastima (SOLD)
(The saint of hurt)
She looks at the world, with hurt and sorrow. She hurts for all those that are suffering. She feels sorrow for all the beauty in the world, for one day it will be gone. She is La Santa de Lastima.
She hides behind the mask, so others wont see her tears.
She wears a hummingbird as a symbol of those that have come and gone.
The flowers, she treasures, for they are a representation of her fertility, the beauty of the world.
The tear, is a river of tears that flows down to quench the earth.
The gray, black, and white, symbolize the world she oversees.
The colors that surround her make up the power she possesses eternally within.
Her halo is the burden she carries above her head.
La Santa de Lastima.
Part of the Nuns without a face series.
Dia de los Muertos. An ancient, and sacred, ritual honoring all the souls of loved ones departed.

In the past he would donate his work to different organizations, including B.E.A.T. Aids, San Antonio Fighting Back, and...
