Lady Blossom is the last in my bug series. When I started drawing this painting I thought how was I going to paint the bark on the tree. I would have to say that bark is one of the most challenging things to paint because of the taster needed to make it look real. For water color its all about washes and how they blind with each step. As for the ladybug I just wanted her to stand out so I made her slightly bigger then normal and I made the colors shinier, compared to the rest of the painting.
