Absolutely love this print. We converted our formal living room into a music, lounge, study, hang out space for our three tween boys. It’s perfect!

Was looking for a nautical theme print to go with our antique replica of "The Sea Witch". Capt. James Cook was one of the first to make navigational maps! Perfect pairing! We love the quality, the ease of order and the timeliness I which we received him! Thank you and will certainly place more orders......

My husband is the Skipper on the Pacific Viking and my son the engineer. A nice picture for the 'collection.

Artist's Description

The pristine wilderness of the Canadian Rockies attracted many tourists, and the Canadian Pacific Railway built this station in about 1890 on its main line at Laggan, now Lake Louise. This station and the one at Banff, which was also built to accommodate the tourist trade, were designed to have both an air of coziness and a proximity to nature, complementing their mountain settings. William Van Horne, general manager of the CPR, decided that this expensive stretch of track should pay for itself, and created a number of restaurants along the line. The mountain scenery near the restaurants made the tourists wish to stay longer, so the CPR converted the restaurants to small inns, and eventually to the magnificent hotels for which the CPR is known. The CPR donated this station to Heritage Park in 1976.

About Maria Angelica Maira

Photos capture emotions and atmosphere where words cannot. Welcome and thank you for visiting my gallery. I am a graphic designer and although I have always been connected to art in all of its expression, photography has been one of the greatest passions in my life. Not only is it about capturing a moment, it's about adding a personal touch, an artistic detail and to embed my own feelings into them. In other words, photography is more than simply freezing our memories in time; it can also be a means for creative expression.
