Hi FAA! I purchased a few of your items awhile back to resell to my customers...and to share the joy your artists share. This purse I just purchased...I had given one to a friend of mine that moved away from Chicago...when we were together recently in AZ at a Cubs game...the security dept. took the bag from her when we were going through security. I bought another since I have none left in my shop...and I just sent. it to her to surprise her! She had the Cubs bag in a see through bag as required at the event stadiums and the security folks still took her Cubs bag...we believe it was due to them being AZ Cardinals fans...she had removed all her makeup from the bag and showed them there was nothing dangerous in the bag...and yet they still took it and they said they just throw the bags away...I have a funny feeling someone is benefiting from this "throwaway" program...they said they collect 1,000 of bags...ugh...glad you still had some online to help me get her a new one! Please don't share this message for a week or so...I just sent to her yesterday! Thanks!

It was going to happen. A day within the 365 days of my project where I don't feel like going out to shoot nor do I feel too creative. Heck, it's Monday after the holidays - I don't feel like creating anything. But the project is a photo-a-day project, not a photo-on-the-days-I-feel-like-maybe-kinda-sorta-I-might-could-shoot-and-process-something project.
So here is a photo I actual took about 2 weeks ago. I know, kind of a cheat, but it's my 365 project, so roll with it. It is 6 15-second exposures of Lake Michigan using my ICE 10-stop ND filter blended in camera to create one photo. It is very minimal, as the whole point of the shoot was just to test the ND filter. After just a bit of processing in Photoshop, the creative lightbulb above my head flickered ever so slightly and I thought, "Hey, this would look great as a triptych!" And with that fleeting thought, the virtual lightbulb was dark.
So, for what it's worth, here is a Lake Michigan Minimalist...
Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. Much of what I shoot is done spontaneously without preconceived thought or plan. I let what is around me dictate what is photographed. And the shooting is only the first step - a jumping off point. I take the raw images and create what I see in my mind's eye. Coaxing out textures present in the shot - sometimes adding them. Enhancing the contrast of light and dark to create the mood and emotions I felt and feel. In the end, it's all about listening to my heart and mind and...
