Lakeville highway in Sonoma County runs south out of Petaluma and empties out on highway 37. This a a two lane highway that will get you down to highway 37 and then east typically to US 80 and beyond.
Thirty years ago the land along Lakeville highway was mainly old family farms where cows and sheep were common. As the popularity of California Wines increased and expanded more over into Sonoma County many of the farms on Lakeville Highway have given way to vineyards. On top of that the area has become home to a few ranches that are raising thoroughbreads and other specialty horses.
Today there are few of the farms that were there when I first started traveling the road. This is one of them.
