Description
A part of me has never quit believing in fairies and a time long ago when they lived more openly in the world. This picture is about the day before one little fairy left her tree for the last time. She sits there in quiet communion with the ancient spirit of her tree saying good bye before the last leaves fall and she moves with the others of her kind to a safer place where they all still dwell.

This drawing departs from some of the other pieces done by Sandra Borrmann in my opinion in that it of its design of the clever little wooden frame around the partial circle and this picture while nature based like many of hers has a fun story element to the piece. Look close at the tree and see, what sees you -- most amusing. It is has tiny little door in the detailed complex illustration and water color. The tiny door seems to beckon the viewer to enter into a whole other world of fantasy and possibilities. It may be the last days in title, but it makes me want it to be the first day of the story, just about to begin. :)
