The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.
The Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde aircraft is a turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner, a supersonic transport (SST), which flew from 1969 to 2003. It was a product of an Anglo-French government treaty, combining the manufacturing efforts of Aerospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation. (The French word 'concorde', meaning agreement, harmony or union). Concorde entered service with Air France and British Airways in 1976. Concorde flew regular transatlantic flights from London to New York JFK and Washington Dulles, flying these routes at record speeds, in less than half the time of other airliners. (Personal note): I waited over an hour in a steady rainfall to get this last departure from DTW on 23 May 1998...and I still miss her.
Remembering back to my early years... my folks bought me a Kodak box camera (which I still have) for Christmas, and I remember the magic of getting a handful of 3” x 3” photos back from the drugstore. I know this is laughable to some of you, but we used to have to wait a week before we could see if we had any ‘keepers’ in the envelope, after the film was processed and prints were made. One-Hour photo stores were still several years away. So, now…Fast Forward to the post-high school years…. I took photo and design courses in college and later became a corporate photographer for a major firm. I've traveled to many events over the years, always in search of exciting machines that go FAST! Of the 5+ decades I've been practicing my craft;...
