I absolutely LOVE Monica's artwork and it's extra special to be able to carry her artwork around with me wherever I go. Quality of the bag is good, too!

I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Gorgeous photo on the bag. Loved that I could adjust the photo size to suit my preference. Wanted to use for going to the health food store as I need to replace the 15 year old canvas, washable bags I have now. These will not last as long as those canvas bags. I could even deal with slight fading when I needed to wash them. These do not feel washable. Cheap mesh "fabric" on the interior will tear. Disappointed in the fabric on the inside and outside.

I was hoping for a heavyweight cotton canvas bag to use for grocery shopping; this will not be it. I wanted a bag that would be washable. This has a cheap mesh fabric on the interior that will tear in short order. The exterior is some sort of nylon or other synthetic fabric that I do not feel comfortable washing. I guess I didn't realize what kind of fabric it was made of. It is beautiful but not useful for my needs.

I wanted some pretty tote canvas tote bags to replace the durable canvas bags I use for trips to the health food store. While certainly beautiful, this bag will not be useful for that purpose. The interior is made of that lightweight, cheap mesh fabric that tears with the slightest bit of stress on it. I was hoping for heavy canvas, but this is an odd fabric that will not hold up for what I wanted to use it for.

Artist's Description

I took my grand-daughter and my little old dog for a walk the other day. The Fall sky was bright blue with just tiny tufts of cotton looking clouds floating by. It was cold and I was wishing my little old dog's legs could move just a tiny bit faster. We were really moving at a snail's pace, but it gave me time to pay attention to the beauty of the day around me. As we walked, I looked up and saw one tiny brilliant red leaf still hanging on to the very top of a maple tree. I did not have my camera. By the time we slowly had made our way back home, I was pretty sure that leaf would have blown away, but I loaded the baby and the dog in my van and headed back to catch, (what I thought) was just so beautiful and even inspirational! I am so happy I did. The next day we got an inch of snow! This was taken almost two years ago. My little old pup is no longer with me and it makes this image even more special....because I probably would never have seen this solitary leaf without her hel...

About Karen Adams

'When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.' ― Ansel Adams . . . . . . . . . . I have always loved taking pictures. I majored in Fine Arts at Ohio University in Athens where I concentrated on painting and ceramics. Photography was a hobby I loved, but have still never taken a class. Hopefully, I will get around to that some day! People see beauty everywhere, but most of us are just too busy or stressed to really appreciate or pay attention! Butterflies are gorgeous pieces of artwork fluttering right before our eyes and many times we just don't notice them. At least, that's the way I was until just three years ago. I was helping my...
