... A once-beautiful fishing boat,
now beached on the Pacific
coastline of Oregon...
This vintage trawler is named
the Mary D Hume.
She is a coastal treasure,
spending her last days
on the sandy shores at Gold Beach.
Still tied to the old wooden pilings
in the marina,
her old wooden deck is starting
to collapse under the weight
of her crumbling bridge.
Her hull is green
with salty algae
and at high tide,
she is almost engulfed completely
with the Pacific sea.
At low tide, the Hume
makes a wonderful
and interesting photo subject
at the harbor near the north jetty
and next to the big bridge
that spans over the wide harbor...
